As always, our stainless steel sports exhaust systems are the first choice for quality and sound.
Weight reduction without compromising quality for specific motorsport deployment constituted the remit for design and production.
The titanium-specific disadvantages known to the expert insiders such as embrittlement cracking, material reactions with all atmospheric elements above 400° C as well as difficulties with material compatibility in welding all prompted us to deploy a new material to meet the demands. We came up with:
Inconel Alloy instead of Titanium
The undisputed advantages of this high-tensile nickel-chromium composition are:
- low weight due to reduced material thickness
- no critical atmospheric reactions in the high temperature range
- temperature stability up to 1150° C without embrittlement cracking
- outstanding hot gas and moisture corrosion resistance values
- controllable manufacturing processes, in particular welding
Using this tried and tested Formula 1 material a unique, weight-reduced and long-lived rear silencer emerged
The first prototypes for the BMW M3 E90, E92, E93 are already in the trial phase. We'll keep you informed of further developments.
